This inspires him to bring the same village mentality to East Atlanta and The Village Studios.

Alison
Co-Founder
Alison is a musician, percussionist, and community builder who believes art is the core language of unity and togetherness.
Having co-launched and performed in percussion projects across the US, Japan, Mexico, and Brazil, her career includes serving as Musical Director for the Afro-Brasilian drum corps Batalá Washington — where she opened for icons like the Rolling Stones, Sheila E, and Wyclef Jean — and co-founding the Meso Creso cross-cultural music and arts collective.
Returning to her Atlanta roots, Alison is excited to build Batalá Atlanta — and to launch Village Studios' multiplex arts spaces in East Atlanta Village to cultivate and sustain our vibrant Southern creative communities.
